Frederick Williams

Frederick M. “Fred” Williams, 73, of Bostwick, passed from this life on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Bostwick, Fred was a brick and block mason in the construction industry. He was of the Baptist faith. A NASCAR fan, Fred was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shrimping. He also enjoyed watching his grand-babies and great-grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Lillian Williams and brothers, “Poose” Williams and Herbert Williams and a grandson, Shelby Hebert. Fred is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Williams of Bostwick, 3 daughters, Terri Hebert (Jay), Lana Burkes-Houston (Cindy), Kristin Williams (Richie), a brother, I.B. Williams, Jr. (Jenny), 5 sisters, Betty Baker (Ron), Malinda Comer (Sylvester), Myrtle Mullins (Kerry), Helen Herbert and Rachel Cutrer (Greg), 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Bostwick Baptist Church with Bro. David Eddins officiating. Burial will follow at Bostwick Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
