The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Joseph Everett Capo, age 94 years, of Inverness, Florida, will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 16, 2018, at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory. Pennsylvania Ave., Crystal River, FL 34428. Mr. Capo was born April 23, 1924 in St. Augustine, FL, to Joseph Andrew and Florrie (White) Capo and came to Inverness in 1983 from Winter Park, FL. He retired from the US Department of Transportation as an air traffic controller. Mr. Capo was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness and a veteran of both WWII and Korea serving in both the US Marine Corps and US Army. He died on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Brooksville, Florida. Surviving are his wife, Beverley Anne Baxley Capo, 3 sons, Joseph Andrew Capo, Inverness; Philip Carey Capo, Gainesville; and David Rives Capo, Ocala; a daughter, Cheryl Elaine Capo, Tampa, FL; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
