A Service Remembrance for Mrs. Marjorie "Georgia" Yoder Sanders of Floral City, FL will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness. The family will receive friends and visitors on Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the chapel. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hooperfuneralhome.com. Known by many as "Georgia" or simply called "Mrs. Marge", she passed away Tuesday in Inverness,FL at the age of 91. She was born in Inverness on August 5, 1927 to John Fred and Mary Alice (Morrow) Yoder, and was a 1946 graduate of Citrus High School. After marriage she lived in Jacksonville and retired back to Citrus County, her beloved "hometown". She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness and later of Cornerstone Baptist Church. The longtime resident of Citrus County was known for her Buttermilk Pies and her recipe was even used by local restaurants. Georgia enjoyed her family, dining out at her favorite restaurants, being active in the church and reading the newspaper. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Gene Arthur Sanders (1998). She is survived by her 2 sons: Emory L. Sanders and his wife Mary of St. Augustine,FL, Levant Sanders and his wife Terri of Flowery Branch, GA, 4 Grandchildren: Laura, Emily, Bethany, and Jonathan. Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper Funeral Home & Crematory.
