Edgardo G. Ocampo, 63, of Davenport, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida. He was born on December 9, 1954 in Oroquieta City, Philippines to Crispin T. Egoc, Sr. and Adelaida S. (Guingguing) Egoc. Edgardo attended the University of San Carlos and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978. He moved to Davenport in 2013 from Miramar, Florida and was employed by Watson Laboratory as a quality assurance Inspector.

Edgardo loved watching movies, listening to music from the 80’s, playing guitar and singing karaoke. He enjoyed fixing cars and watching all kinds of sports like football and basketball with his daughter April. He would always cheer for his daughter’s favorite teams, like the Miami Heats, Chicago Bulls, Jacksonville Jaguars and the UFC Knights. In his youth, he enjoyed playing basketball in the Philippines. Edgardo loved his wife dearly and would always serenate her. He was known as a kind, loving, friendly man, who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father Crispin T. Egoc, Sr; sister Gloria; and his wife of 27 years, Ana Yañez (Obenza) Ocampo. Edgardo is survived by his mother, Adelaida (Guingguing) Egoc; son, Edgar Ray Ocampo of Davenport, FL; daughter, April Ann Ocampo also of Davenport, FL; brothers, Mario, Crispin Jr. and Rolando; sisters, Thelma, Sonsaida, Ofelia, Marisa, Crisalda and many close friends.

A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 2:00 p.m., all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Deacon Jose Ramos of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating.
