Raymond Marcel Reyer, Jr., 81

Okeechobee – Raymond Marcel Reyer, Jr. died September 21, 2018. He was born August 15, 1937 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He worked with the Ft. Lauderdale Police for 21 years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. A resident of Okeechobee for 21 years, he was a member of The Gathering. He loved to fix things and enjoyed carpentry and airplanes.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Reyer.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Reyer, of Okeechobee; son, Timothy Reyer (Kristina), of Plantation; brothers, Ronald Reyer (Lannie), of Meadville, PA, and Allan Reyer (Karen), of Apollo, PA; and grandchildren, Matthew Reyer and Theodore Reyer.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at The Gathering.

  1. Ray was a terrific Auto Theft detective. I met Ray when I went to Auto Theft in 1981. Ray was one of 5 detectives who shared their love and knowledge of Auto Theft. He was Mr. Cadillac. We will miss Ray and keep his family in our thoughts and prayers
