Rosaline “Rose” Gertrude Bax Mantle passed away on September 19, 2018. Rose was born in St. Elizabeth, Missouri on May 26, 1921, to Conrad and Anna Bax. She married Charles Emery “Joe” Mantle on November 6, 1943, and lived in St. Louis and Florissant, Missouri. In 1967, they moved to Naples, FL where Joe and Rose joined her sister and brother-in-law, Bea and John Caskey, in opening Naples Rent-All and Sales Company. Joe pre-deceased Rose on January 14, 1983.
Rose was active in the Home and School Association at St. Ann Catholic School, Girl Scouts, Opti-Mrs. Service Club, the 500 Club and numerous bowling leagues, the Red Hats Club, and the Poker Group at the Greenwood Circle Clubhouse. She was an active member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and was a founding member of its Council of Catholic Women. In 2013, Rose moved to Orlando, Florida where she resided at Orlando Lutheran Towers.
