Helen Wasmuth Helen was born on December 2nd, 1923 to immigrant parents from Czechoslovakia, John and Suzannah Bubnash, in the small coal mining town of Perryopolis. She was one of seven children: Mary Hegarty Fisher, John, George, Michael, Edward and Paul.
