Mark Steven Kierstein, 66, passed away on January 26, 2017. A service will be held at Beach Funeral Home – East on Monday, January 30,2017 at 11:00am. Mark was born on April 17, 1950, in New London, Connecticut, to parents Harold and Louise Kierstein. He grew up in Westchester and attended Mamaroneck High School, before going to the University of Corpus Christi in Texas. He married his wife Lysee in 1972, and their daughter Resa was born two years later. Mark was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved traveling, taking memorable trips to France and Italy, and going on many cruises. He enjoyed golf, pottery, the New York Mets and Giants, and loved his dogs. Whether he was known as Mark, Dad, Poppy, or Uncle Mark, he was happiest at the center of his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lysee; daughter, Resa; son-in-law Ted; grandchildren Teddy and Kiersten; brother Lee; sister Lynne; and many friends and family, including Susan, Ben, Kayla, Gabe, Shawn, Leigh, and Amy.

  2. Mark was a great person and will be missed. I’ll never forget the time I was sailing with my family on Freedom of the Seas and we saw Mark and Lysee. Small world.
